Komaki FAM Electric Scooter Series Launched – India’s First Family SUV EV

Komaki Electric has launched a unique addition to India’s EV lineup — the FAM 1.0 and FAM 2.0, branded as the country’s first Family SUV Electric Scooters. The new models are designed to make daily commuting more comfortable, safe, and sustainable for Indian families.

Priced at ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) for the FAM 1.0 and ₹1,26,999 for the FAM 2.0, the scooters combine practicality with modern electric technology, targeting both domestic users and small businesses.

Built for Families and Urban Riders

The Komaki FAM series focuses on convenience and stability. Both scooters come with a three-wheel design that ensures a steady and easy ride for people of all ages. A spacious seat, an 80-litre storage boot, and a large front basket make it ideal for daily shopping, family rides, or delivery purposes.

The metallic body is equipped with integrated LED DRL indicators, hand and foot brakes, and a torque lever for better control. This setup enhances safety without compromising on comfort or appearance.

Long Range and Reliable Performance

Powering the FAM scooters are LiPo4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries, known for their long life and safety. The FAM 1.0 delivers a range of over 100 km per charge, while the FAM 2.0 extends it to around 200 km.

These batteries support up to 5,000 charge cycles, ensuring long-term durability and minimal maintenance. LiPo4 technology also offers thermal stability, preventing overheating or fire risks — a key advantage in India’s warm climate.

Environmentally, these batteries are free from heavy metals, supporting Komaki’s mission of promoting cleaner mobility solutions.

Smart Tech Features for Modern Riders

Komaki has equipped both FAM scooters with smart, connected features. Multiple sensors continuously track performance, speed, and battery health, while a self-diagnosis system notifies users about maintenance needs.

Other notable features include:

  • Reverse assist for parking and tight turns
  • Multiple gear modes for speed flexibility
  • Auto hold and advanced braking system
  • Digital dashboard displaying real-time analytics, navigation, and call alerts

These features make the Komaki FAM scooters suitable for daily commuters who want a blend of practicality and innovation.

Comfort and Safety First

The three-wheel setup offers greater stability compared to regular scooters, and the wide seating comfortably accommodates two adults and one child. LED lighting, solid build quality, and dual braking controls make the scooters safe for both city and semi-urban roads.

This makes the Komaki FAM series an excellent option for families, delivery riders, and small business owners looking for reliable, low-cost electric transportation.

Komaki’s Vision for a Greener Future

Speaking at the launch, Gunjan Malhotra, Co-founder of Komaki Electric Vehicles, said,

  • “The FAM series is designed to redefine family travel in India, combining eco-friendly performance, comfort, and technology. Our goal is to make daily commuting smarter, safer, and sustainable.”

Driving India Toward Smarter Mobility

With the FAM 1.0 and FAM 2.0, Komaki is setting a new benchmark in India’s electric scooter market. The focus on safety, family comfort, and long-range performance highlights Komaki’s efforts toward making EVs more accessible to the average Indian household.

These scooters underline the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility, urban convenience, and future-ready commuting.
