Cheetah tourism is expected to begin in February at Kuno National Park, as announced by the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. This will add a unique aspect to ‘Brand Madhya Pradesh’ following two major events in Indore in January. The cheetahs, which were translocated from Namibia to Kuno on September 17, have adapted well to the Indian conditions and are currently hunting. If all goes well, the cheetahs will be released into the wild in February. This will be the first time in over 75 years that cheetahs will be seen in the wild in India.
The Cheetah Project is expected to contribute to the development of the region around Kuno. The government is working on a plan to involve the local population by offering tourists the opportunity to stay in Sahariya tribal homes and learn about their lifestyle and traditions. This concept of homestays will also be a feature of the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Global Investors’ Summit in Indore.
The Madhya Pradesh government has high hopes for the Global Investors’ Summit, which will have participants from 68 countries. The focus areas of the summit include pharma, food and agri business, IT, and textiles. The government aims to showcase the state’s tourism potential as well as the advantages of investing in Madhya Pradesh.
The chief minister also highlighted the possibilities in sectors such as automobile, food processing, IT, and solar energy. The state’s location makes it an ideal choice for a logistics hub. Discussions are underway for defense projects in Jabalpur and Gwalior.
The IT sector in Madhya Pradesh has shown significant growth, with IT parks in Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur reaching full capacity. The government encourages small companies and startups to set up business in the state and plans to establish a Global Skills Park in collaboration with Singapore. The advantages of investing in Madhya Pradesh include low land costs, trained human resources, uninterrupted power supply, adequate water supply, and minimal loss of workdays.
The government aims to impress the delegates attending the NRI Summit and Global Investors’ Summit with the potential of Madhya Pradesh. The chief minister expressed optimism about the state’s future prospects and emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting businesses and promoting growth.
